We said goodbye to an exceptional man, Director Kv\u011btoslav Navr\u00e1til<\/strong>, who is retiring after an incredible 21 years at the head of our team. Symbolically, Mr. Navr\u00e1til celebrated his 70th birthday<\/strong> on January 15. On this milestone birthday, we wished him above all good health and unflagging energy for this new stage of his life! The festive afternoon also included a big surprise.<\/p>\n

Not only current colleagues, but also many former colleagues came to say goodbye. Many words of thanks were spoken, and everyone agreed on one thing: “You were not just ‘the director’ to us. You were a person who knew how to listen, always gave advice, supported us in difficult times, and always lent a helping hand. Thank you for allowing us to grow and create the history of this hotel under your leadership. The daily morning breakfast ritual in a hotel can’t be done without a good, fragrant coffee, but this commonplace needs proper care and consistent attention to ensure that breakfast is the right kick-start to your day. Since October this year, we have been testing a new type of freshly roasted Eduscho coffee beans, which, with its distinctly coffee-like taste, has convinced us to serve it to our guests, mainly because of its distinctly good quality, despite the higher purchase costs.<\/p>\n

I make the cake according to an old family recipe and preserve certain rituals in its creation, so that it has its power and the charm of an exceptional magical night of the last day of the old year, while welcoming new hopeful expectations and sweetly good first minutes of the new one.<\/p>\n

As every year, the Mayor of the city of Karlovy Vary together with Mr. Ing. Petr Kulh\u00e1nek and other well-known representatives of our town, have started a new spa season, at old-new Hotel KARLSBAD GRANDE MADONNA.<\/strong><\/p>\n

By the tradition, came dear religious representatives from Italy, as well as Czech spiritual leaders lead by the Plze\u0148 bishop. The opening of the spa season was even more festive for us this time, and for others unusual. The new name of the hotel was blessed, which in March 2017 changed from original Aura Palace to KARLSBAD GRANDE MADONNA.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]\n

\u201eTo change the name lead an effort reflected in the title of spiritual potential of the place where the hotel stands. Unique location in close proximity to the spiritual center of Karlovy Vary, St. Ma\u0159\u00ed Magdal\u00e9ny from the great Baroque architect Kili\u00e1n Ign\u00e1c Dietzenhofer and spa center in the form of the Hot Spring, gives the whole place a special and unique genius loci. The hotel its name refers to the Mother of God (Virgin), the patron saint and protector of the Hot Spring, its beautiful Gothic statue is hidden in the sacristy of the church, just a few steps away from hotel. \u201c<\/strong><\/div>\n
