Hydrocolon or colon shower is a modern and pleasant method of intestinal lavage, which helps you overcome the consequences of improper lifestyle and poor diet and is also an excellent prevention of colon cancer.

How does Hydrocolon therapy work?

After the necessary initial consultation with the doctor, you will undergo the therapy lying on your back on a comfortable recliner to the sound of relaxing music. The therapy takes place in a closed system, where no smell is perceived. A nurse is present throughout the therapy.

One session lasts approximately 45 minutes.
To begin with, we recommend a series of 3 to 5 sessions.

Before the procedure, it is necessary to sign an informed consent with confirmation that you do not suffer from the diseases listed among the contraindications and also to undergo a onetime examination of the rectum and the esophageal sphincter endoscopically or radiologically (sigmoideoscopy about 15 min.) in Spa V. – the price of the examination is 2,500 CZK. You can also have this examination prior to your arrival at a doctor in your location (no earlier than 1 month before your arrival) and submit the result to our Spa Doctor.

Contraindications:

  • Inflammation of the intestine
  • Tumour of the intestine
  • Conditions after operations on the intestine
  • Congenital deformities of the intestine
  • Bleeding in the digestive tract
  • Serious heart disease
  • Acute haemorrhoids
  • Pregnancy
  • Within 6 months after abdominal surgery

Recommendations:

  • Have a light diet two days before and after the Hydrocolon theraphy.
  • Consume a light diet – non-bloating – soft.
